Inishowen 100 race start
Rosie Brennan and William Dickey, both doctors working in Altnagelvin hospital, cycled the 100 miles of the Inishowen circuit today in atrocious windy weather as part of the annual road race. Not a bad warm up for the marathon cycle from Mizen head to Malin head!

Rosie suggested that we have a photograph taken dipping our front wheels in the water at Mizen and then out back wheels in the water at Malin at the end of our cycle. I agree with the first dipping in Mizen but at Malin I think the whole bike will go in!

The photo idea sounds great! I’m hoping to do regular updates during the cycle – can do by phone call to me, by twitter or if you email me at an internet cafe. The email reminder should go out to staff this week so that they’re primed to check out the site next week.
