The Project

The ‘VISION 2020′ project is a major international effort to improve eyecare in developing countries. Our project is to support the 175-bed referral ECWA Eye Hospital which provides much needed eye care services to the people of Kano, the second largest city of Nigeria. The eyecare team there have identified major needs particularly in developing eye services for children, and have requested assistance.

A multi-professional team of eye specialists from Altnagelvin hospital (Londonderry/Derry, N.Ireland) is to raise money to fund a team visit to train the team in Kano and help set up some badly needed eyecare programmes.

Here is a map of Kano.
